We Were All Exhausted

Posted by Shyle on 5:04 AM in
Today is the third day of the 3rd batch of the NEPP training. And this afternoon was my schedule of discussing the 2C2Ia Reading Instruction Framework. I mastered already my topic, however, it is really inevitable to feel stage fright. It is not really easy especially that I am a talking to the Master Teachers in our Division.

The facilitators were all very exhausted because of the series of seminars and trainings we have facilitated. All of us have no time for our family already. It is so sad but since this is our mission and we are called by God to extend our services to the teachers in our Division by facilitating the series of trainings, we have no choice but to serve wholeheartedly and willingly.

The saddest thing we had experienced until this day was that the participants were exhausted also. They were not actively participating already. We have done all our efforts to energize them and awaken them by letting them dance, sing and other jolly activities, but seems their energy is also drained. We have nothing to do but to understand them because they are also teachers like us. We have no authority to reprimand them. However, we still gave lively activities to recharge their low battery.

I think stimulating activity or getting anyone excited about learning, especially with seminars and training, is challenging, especially when they are tired and have no energy, just like you had mentioned.

I was an education major, and personally, trying to motivate kids to get excited about learning was hard. However games, singing and dancing always did the trick. I think the same is true for an older crowd, not just children.

Great blog by the way. I do think a blog is a great way to master the English language, that is the very reason why I have a blog. That and I like to write!

Great work! I'm giving you my Ahhh...wow...How I wish i could have one like this to reach you in the field....
There is no end of NEPP yet. For trainings and seminars, don't forget the 4 A's of Adult Learning. You will survive.
This is your partner in the Regional Office....Keep moving on...
