First Day of Service for S.Y. 2010-2011

Today is our first day of service for school year 2010 - 2011. I awoke early and prepared everything to be brought to school. I was the 3rd teacher who came to school early. The Principal's and District Supervisor's office were still closed but there were many parents and pupils waited for us. The pupils will still enroll for their respective graded while the parents accompanied them.
I have accepted 70 newly enrolled pupils. I talked to the parents and said that their child will still be distributed to the the two sections aside from my section. Some just smiled and some asked me a favor of not giving their children to other teachers which I don't know the reason why. I told them that it depends upon the general average and the reading ability of their child. But others really insisted. I checked the other sections about the pupils enrolled in their class. However, it is so disappointing when I have the most number of pupils compared to them. One has only 8 pupils enrolled and the other is 30. What I did is, explaining and convincing 5 pupils who are slow readers to transfer to other section so I can have 35 pupils only.I chose the slow readers because I handled the section 1 homogeneous pupils. The pupils just nodded. But when their parents knew, they confront me and insisted to enroll their child in my section. I accepted two pupils temporarily but have told the parents that I will test their child's mental capacity tomorrow.
This is my first time to experience this kind of problem. I am just hoping I can resolve this tomorrow before tapping the shoulders of the principal and guidance counselor.
